Cloudrift does not have a boat launch facility on our property. However, we have secured an exclusive arrangement with a nearby location and service provider that supports self-launching.

 

The following terms are mandatory for your safety and security and are enforced by active Vaal River law enforcement.

Boat Owner Requirements:

• A valid Skipper's License is required.

• A Buoyancy Certificate for the vessel must be provided.

• Boat owners are responsible for launching their boats at their own risk.
   

Launch Procedures:

• We recommend having support to assist with launching your boat.
   

Costs:

• The launch fee is R250, payable per vessel in cash upon arrival at the launch site.

• The launching facility requires advance notification by completing the below form well in advance of arrival. 
   

Operating Hours:

• Launches are available from 08:00 AM to 03:00 PM (subject to confirmation).
   

Rules & Regulations at Cloudrift:

 

• It is important to note that due to the low-hanging branches of the avenue of trees as you enter Cloudrift - No boats are allowed on the Cloudrift property unless by prior arrangement and approved by management.

• Only trailers are permitted on the Cloudrift property, between launching and collection. 

• Boat mooring facilities are available for your boat at the Cloudrift Jetty

• Boat owners are responsible for the safety and security of their boats.
