we welcome guests who wish to bring pets to our property under the following conditions:

Pet terms
Pets must be friendly toward people and kept contained within the area you are occupying. Dogs must not disturb other guests or enter shared or communal areas of the property unless accompanied and supervised. Excessive barking or loud behavior is not permitted, as sound carries easily near the water and may disturb neighboring guests at Cloudrift.

pet policy
pre-approval for all pets:
any pet, including dogs, must be disclosed to us in advance. guests are required to provide full details about their pet(s), including breed, size, and temperament. approval of pets is solely at the discretion of the property management and must be confirmed in writing before your stay. exotic or non-domestic animals are not permitted under any circumstances.

pet safety and responsibility
the property is fully fenced except for the riverside, where the property meets the vaal river. guests are responsible for the safety and supervision of their pets at all times. the host assumes no liability for any injury, loss, or incident involving pets during the stay.

interaction with other animals
Please note that there may be other pets on the property. guests are responsible for ensuring their pet/s can coexist peacefully with other animals. If there are multiple pets on the property, your pet must be well-behaved, non-aggressive, and able to adapt to this shared environment.

pet behaviour
owners are required to ensure their pets are well-trained, non-destructive, and do not pose any danger or disturbance to other guests, animals, or the property. any damage or additional cleaning caused by pets will be charged to the guest.

full responsibility
By bringing a pet onto the property, you accept full responsibility for their behaviour, safety, and well-being during your stay. failure to comply with this policy or any misrepresentation about pets may result in additional fees or the requirement to remove the pet from the premises.

important considerations for the property’s location
the property is situated on the vaal river and, as such, is surrounded by natural
wildlife. guests are encouraged to exercise caution with their pets, particularly near the river and outdoor areas, as encounters with local wildlife may occur.
